Pinkerton Forest is west of Melbourne (between Melton and Werribee). It is a remnant Grey Box woodland owned by Western Water. It has a scatter of mature Grey Box and River Red Gums. Bush's Paddock nearby is similar but with more open grassland (spear grasses, windmill grass and kangaroo grass) with a variety of wildflowers.
Both areas are cared for by a Land Care Group, and access is restricted.
BOCA is conducting a quarterly survey for the areas - normally the second Sunday in Feb, May, Aug and Nov, but confirm with the Activities page.
